The Jefferson Elks lodge will host its monthly Sunday brunch next Sunday, Oct. 11, and folks who precede the brunch with going to church can save a dollar.
Singles, couples or families that bring in a church bulletin from the weekend will save a dollar on each meal.
The menu includes the best baked French toast this side of Paris, sausage gravy and biscuits, scrambled eggs, bacon, fruit and beverages. Serving is from 9 am to 1:30 pm at the lodge. The public is cordially invited to eat and visit. The food is ready, serving is fast, but conversation can stretch just about as long as a Sunday allows.
The Elks use the proceeds for community projects like the recent 9-11 Heroes Dinner and a long list of projects for youngsters.
